I love working in veterinary medicine because of the connection I could make with both animals and their owners. Animals can’t speak for themselves, so being able to provide care and support on their behalf feels incredibly rewarding. The bonds formed while helping pets feel better or educating pet owners about their animals’ needs is one of the most fulfilling parts of the job.
What I love the most about being an RVT is the diversity of the work. Every day could bring new challenges, from performing lab tests to assisting with surgeries. It requires a combination of technical skills, empathy, and critical thinking. Plus, there’s a lot of joy in knowing you’re making a difference in an animal's life and, by extension, in their human’s life too.
